Hello,
I have no song for today but wanted to let you know about my experience at the Lake Norman triathlon. The Lake Norman YMCA triathlon was the last triathlon I did last year. This year my good friend John Gioffre did the triathlon in my honor and also organized members of his triathlon club, team in motion,to also do it for me. John and his running mates were great as well as Dan Hyre. Not only did they do the race in my honor may also help me get in my wheelchair to it from the race announcements area which was on the beach. John ran with me on the entir entire 5 km run course which I did it let borrow wheelchair. The only problem I had was in the last 50 yards with a wheelchair that stuck in a hole on a grassy section of the finishing stretch a number of race participants helped pull the wheelchair out of the hole. John's running club and other race participants signed several race shirts in my honor. The overall masters winner, Frank Fawcett, also gave me his first-place award. All in all it was a great experience-and I want to thank everyone involved for their support. Particularly John, Sabrina And Jason from the Lake Norman YMCA, and Bill and Linda from set-up events.
I am also attached by prerace remarks.

Dick
